The EIB127 Surface Mount Relay Base is designed to facilitate installation of bulky wiring and conduits.

The unit has been designed so that any of the alarms listed above will fit on top of the EIB127 (the EIB127 is specifically designed so that such alarms fitted with the Easi-Fit base will screw directly to the EIB127).

The EIB127 must only be used with one of the Smoke/Heat Alarms listed above – otherwise the unit will not comply with the mandatory safety regulations.

The EIB605C Photoelectric Smoke Alarm operates on the light scatter principle to detect smoke particles entering the optical chamber. This Photoelectric Smoke Alarm is sensitive to all domestic fire types but is especially sensitive to visible smouldering fires.

The EIB605C modular design allows it to be upgraded for RadioLINK functionality with the addition of an RF module EIB605MRF. The EIB605C is powered by a 9V Alkaline battery (supplied).

The memory feature records the last CO alarm level and can be useful to check if CO has been present while the home owner or tenant has been absent from the property.

The EI208DW Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm is supplied with a powered-for-life sealed lithium battery and an RF interconnect module.

Using the unique house code feature, an interconnected system will sound all alarms when one detects CO.

The Brooks Occupant Warning System (OWS) is capable of providing reliable audio and visual warnings to the building occupants via speakers and strobes in emergency conditions. The system can be either a standalone control panel or inside a fire panel enclosure.

A Brooks OWS inside a fire panel enclosure may or may not has the power supply monitoring board, the AC/DC power supply and the backup batteries, which depends on the fire panel power supply capacity and the application requirements.

CO is a particularly insidious gas; you can’t see it, taste it or smell it, but it is potentially lethal. The need for a reliable mains powered detector that will operate even in the event of a mains failure is universally recognised. Until now this kind of detector has relied upon a battery back-up, provided by removable household batteries. The sensor module can be replaced quickly and easily after 5 years. It simply clips into the back of the alarm and does not require an electrician.

Description

The primary function of the controller is to facilitate easy and frequent testing of the alarm system when in standby mode. When the system is in alarm the EIB450 provides the following control functions:

• Isolate the source alarm by silencing all the other alarms in the system. This is known as the Locate function.
• Silence all the alarms in the system for a period of 10 minutes.
• The control feature allows the home owner to quickly establish if there is a real alarm situation and take the appropriate action.
• The EIB450 is also fitted with Fire and CO warning icons to indicate the source of the alarm in real time or memory.
