Multi-Input ac Transducer - MCT306

The MCT306 takes three phase AC-current either from current transformers or direct load current and produces a process output for monitoring and closed loop applications.

The MCT306 is particularly suited to applications that require a fast response time. The fast response time is achieved through use of an internal three phase rectifier that produces a dc output with a small 300Hz ripple on top. This type of fast response measurement assumes that all three input currents are

equal and have 120° phase difference.

If it is intended to sum three independent current inputs (not three phase) then a slower response time must be specified. Input spans from 0.5A up to 10A are available without the use of an external current transformer.

Various power supply choices are available ranging from 415Vac down to 8Vdc
