Innovative approach to distributing 4 separate satellite polarities (VL, VH, HL, HH) as well as the entire terrestrial band (CATV) down a single core of fibre. This fibre receiver separates out each of the 5 services that fall within the 1550nm band and convert each of them back to their original formats (CATV, VL, VH, HL, HH). This output can then be fed into a multiswitch as if the satellite dish was right next to it. The LR4X2050 also has the capability of breaking out the 1310/1490nm wavelengths to be fed into a separate Ethernet ONU, such as those manufactured by PBN.
