Terms and Conditions of Sale
These Terms apply to all sales by SCHNAP Electric Products ("Company") to customers ("Customer"). By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. General
- These Terms, together with your order, form the entire contract.
- No other terms apply unless agreed in writing.
- The Company may update these Terms at any time.
2. Orders
- Orders can be placed online.
- The Company reserves the right to accept or reject orders at its discretion.
- Orders are processed after full payment unless a credit facility is granted.
- Direct deposit payments must be cleared before the order is released.
- Some products may incur additional shipping charges due to size, weight, or remote locations. The Company will contact you to confirm shipping costs before processing.
- If an order cannot be processed, you will be notified.
3. Payment & Pricing
- Accepted payments: PayPal, Visa, Amex, MasterCard, and direct deposit.
- All prices include GST unless stated otherwise.
- Prices may change without notice.
- Credit cards issued outside Australia are not accepted.
- Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed the next business day.
4. Delivery & Risk
- Orders are processed within 24 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays).
- Delivery is via Australia Post or a selected courier.
- We recommend taking out transit insurance. If goods are lost, it will be your responsibility.
- Some products are too long, overweight, or for remote areas. The Company will call and quote the shipping rate before processing.
- The Company is not responsible for third-party delays.
5. Returns & Refunds
- Returns accepted within 30 days with prior approval.
- A Goods Return Authority (GRA) Number must be obtained before sending goods back.
- If you ordered the wrong item, return shipping costs must be covered by you.
- If the Company sent the wrong item, the Company will cover return shipping costs.
- Some products incur a 20% restocking fee, and some are non-refundable. Please check with the Company before returning.
6. Warranty & Faulty Products
- Goods are warranted to be free from defects and fit for purpose.
- Faulty goods must be reported within the warranty period with proof of installation by a licensed electrician (if applicable).
- The Company will replace a faulty product under warranty but does not offer money back.
- The Company is not liable for damage due to improper installation.
7. Liability
- Liability is limited to replacement only.
- The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
- It is your responsibility to check full product details before ordering. If unsure, contact the Company before purchase.
- The Company is not responsible for errors in third-party links or content.
8. Privacy
- The Company collects and stores customer information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- By purchasing, you consent to data collection for business purposes.
9. Force Majeure
- The Company is not liable for delays due to uncontrollable events (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, supply disruptions).
10. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
- Disputes will be handled in the courts of New South Wales.
